An Intention to Meditate
Mindfulness teacher Jon-Kabat Zinn encourages us to practice as if our lives depended upon it. He explains that we do not have to like the practice, but that we should just try to do it anyway, and in this way, we will start to feel the benefits. We will often feel resistance to practicing and we can make any excuse not to meditate, but this is probably the time when we need it most.
Recognise the resistance and try to encourage yourself to do it anyway.
